I draw my inspiration during my escapes and journeys in Nature - its shadows and lights, the sounds, its smells, its curves, its bark, its calm, its effervescence, its freedom - far from the tumult of human life - are all elements in which I like to recharge my batteries.

For each emotion, each desire, a medium...but it has to be said, oil pastel, which I discovered a few years ago, is my faithful companion. I love its imperfection, the agitation of the brushstroke, the rapid, incisive gestures it provides, the immediacy of its color and its intensity.

How to store an oil pastel ?

Oil pastels have a raw, textured quality that brings them to life.

Oil pastels are composed of pigments agglomerated in a fatty matrix (wax, oil). I protect my work with a suitable varnish, but by its very nature, oil pastels do not dry through.

To appreciate the intensity of the pigments over the long term, the work must be protected by a glass frame with passe partout to isolate it from the glass.
